Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy | 5:00 AM |

Civitavecchia is the gateway to all the magnificence of the ancient city of Rome. Whether it's the Forum, the Sistine Chapel, the Pantheon or St. Peter's Basilica that sparks your interest and intellect, Rome is home to a lifetime's worth of historical, architectural and spiritual sites. Depending on traffic, the drive from Civitavecchia to Rome takes approximately an hour and a half.
Explore the Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain and other wonders of this ancient city. Picture the gladiators and their chariots on an interior tour of the Colosseum. Bask in the glory of Vatican City, with an inside look at St. Peter's Square, St. Peter's Basilica, the Vatican Museum and the magnificent Sistine Chapel.
Experience the history of Rome as you wander around the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
Other Fun Things to Do
There are many varieties of pasta available with a wide range of sauces. Bucatini all'Amatricana, a thick spaghetti in a tangy tomato and bacon sauce, is one example associated with Rome. Osso Bucco, also popular, is a casserole of veal shin flavored with garlic, tomatoes and wine. For dessert, try ricotta cake, a form of cheesecake, or Zuppa Inglese, a liqueur-soaked sponge cake covered with custard, similar to an English trifle.

Just three miles off the coast of southern Italy's mainland is the port town of Messina on the island of Sicily. This bustling town has a complex history with roots in Greek mythology, but because of an earthquake in the early 1900s, it's a relatively young city architecturally. Since the majority of the city has been rebuilt or refurbished within the last 100 years, you'll find the town has an interesting blend of new architecture and old styles.
For a show unlike any you've seen before, check out the world's largest astronomical clock, Orologio Astronomico, in the Piazza del Duomo. It's set in a 197-foot bell tower and when the clock strikes noon, it comes to life. As Ave Maria begins playing from a loudspeaker, the bronze mechanical figures start to move. A lion roars, a bird flaps its wings, and two historical heroines take turns ringing the bell, all before it ends with a statue of Jesus appearing from a tomb.
Other Fun Things to Do
For a taste of traditional Sicilian cuisine, look for eggplant caponata - a stew of tomatoes, eggplant, capers and olives - typically served in restaurants as an antipasto. Rice balls, or arancini di riso, are also very common and can be found in many restaurants and at sidewalk stands. For dessert, try a slice of Sicilian cassata cake, a square sponge cake covered with ricotta cheese frosting, maraschino liqueur, candied fruit and nuts.

Kusadasi is your gateway to Ephesus, a city created by the Ionians in the 11th century B.C. and later expanded by the Romans. Now considered one of the grandest reconstructed sites in the ancient world, the region also hosted the likes of Cleopatra, Mark Antony, the Virgin Mary and John the Apostle.
When you're in the area, don't miss the chance to visit the once powerful trading and religious city of Ephesus. Travel through the Magnesia Gate, the main entrance to the ancient city, and continue along marble streets grooved by chariot wheels. Gaze upon beautiful temples, porticoes, fountains and frescoes. Discover the three-story Library of Celsus, the Temple of Hadrian, the Odeum, the Fountain of Trajan and the Great Theater.
Other Fun Things to Do
Shish kebab (skewer-grilled lamb) is a Turkish invention, and you'll find kebapçis everywhere. Lamb and fish (which can be expensive) dishes are the restaurant staples. Desserts are sweet (often honey-soaked) and tend to incorporate fruit, nuts and pastry in tempting combinations.

Piraeus is the main port of Athens, the biggest in Greece, and one of the most important in the Mediterranean Sea. Piraeus is walking distance from Kastella, a hill strewn with beautiful houses, that offers a majestic view of the Saronic Gulf. Other points of interest include an archaeological museum, Mikrolimano, where you can enjoy an ouzo accompanied by seafood mezedes.
No visit to Athens would be complete without a visit to the Acropolis. There you'll find the Parthenon, the largest building in the Acropolis and one of the world's most awe-inspiring sights. It was built as a temple to Athena and is still a remarkable structure today.
Other Fun Things to Do
Traditional handicrafts, though sometimes expensive, are the most authentically Greek souvenirs. In Athens, Monastiraki and Plaka are the best places to purchase handcrafted goods. You'll find ceramics, brightly colored embroidery and wall hangings, flokati rugs and tapestries.

Chaniá is the second largest city of Crete, and one of the most beautiful. It lies along the north coast of the island at the east end of the Gulf of Chaniá. Chaniá is the site of the ancient Minoan settlement the Greeks called Cydonia (Kydonia), which was mentioned in Virgil's Aeneid. The site has been continuously inhabited from Neolithic times-at least 5000 years. The city's rich history can be traced through historic buildings and monuments with Venetian, Turkish and Greek architecture.
Wander through the fascinating layers of Chaniá's history with a visit to the Old Town. The Venetian Harbor and narrow, picturesque roadways retain the distinctive atmosphere of the city's Venetian and Turkish periods. The large 16th century Venetian church, Aghios Frankiskos is an impressive site and home of the Archaeological Museum of Chaniá.
Other Fun Things to Do
Be sure to stop by Bougatsa Iordanis the originators of the Chaniá bougatsa. Bougatsa, phyllo pastry filled with a creamy cheese filling, is a local favorite. Chaniá bougatsa is unique from other bougatsa in Greece, perhaps because of its use of fresh, sweet mizithra cheese.
Skridloff (Leather Street) is one of the most popular shopping destinations in Chaniá and features a large selection of leather goods and souvenirs. For something more unique, venture into the shops along Anghelou or Halidon Street or visit the Local Artistic Handicrafts Association at the juncture of the old and new harbors.

Kenwood had even more qualifiers this year than last! As Kenwood continues to captivate the market, this is our little way of saying, "Thank You, Mon!"
The weather was nearly perfect the entire time there and a Final Beach Party that sent everyone home with a good feeling about their time spent in Jamaica with Kenwood.
Kenwood would like to thank all those that donated their gifts, time and energy in helping a wonderful charity in Jamaica, SOS Children’s Village.

Jamaica is one of the three islands in the Northern Caribbean forming the Greater Antilles; the capital city is Kingston. It is the largest English-speaking country in the Caribbean Sea, stretching 146 miles from east to west; 4,411 square miles (slightly smaller than the state of Connecticut in the U.S.) Jamaica is well placed on the world’s major shipping and airline routes. The country’s name is derived from an Arawak (aboriginal Indian) word "Xaymaca," meaning "land of wood and water." With waterfalls and springs and rivers and streams flowing from the forest-clad mountains to the fertile plains, Jamaica has one of the richest and most varied landscapes in the region.
The All-Inclusive Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton Resort & Spa is located beachfront on the breathtaking blue water of the northern Jamaica coast. Only 40 minutes from the Montego Bay airport, this resort that opened in 2008 features modern design and luxurious facilities that are in perfect harmony with the spectacular, natural surroundings of this remarkable country. The resort shares facilities and services with the neighboring Grand Palladium Jamaica Resort & Spa, and guests may use facilities in both hotels within the complex. Situated in a small bay bathed in the stunning azure sea, this resort is perfect for a relaxing holiday.

It seems that Kenwood's incentive trips just keep getting better and better each year. This year's group is the biggest ever and a location that certainly "tops the charts" as one of the finest resorts in the Caribbean—The Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe.
The feedback from Kenwood's *Rock The Riviera* dealers have been very flattering and Kenwood continues to listen to all suggestions to help make the next year's event more memorable.
Continue reading below for more information on the Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe in the Riviera Maya.
Also known as the Mayan Riviera, the Riviera Maya is a tourism district located on the eastern portion of the Yucatán Peninsula. This district historically started at the city of Playa del Carmen and ended at the village of Tulum, although the towns of Puerto Morelos, situated to the north and between Playa del Carmen and Cancun as well as the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, situated 40 kilometres (25 mi) to the south of Tulum, are both currently being promoted as part of the Riviera Maya tourist corridor.
The Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe is the newest of five spectacular resorts in the Barceló Maya Beach Resort complex on a breathtaking Riviera Mayan beach. By staying in the Barceló Maya Palace Deluxe all five resorts are accessible! This means you are able to enjoy 20 restaurants, 5 pools, 17 bars, 1.12 miles of one of Mexico's most beautiful white sandy beaches, 1 large discotheque for all five resorts, 9 tennis courts, the children's water park and the list goes on and on. With Barceló's unique architectural design, which was inspired by colonial culture, one will surely feel a sense of serenity while indulging in its all-inclusive package.
The Barceló Maya Palace is a stunning property located approximately 50 miles south of Cancun and is designed with a fusion of colonial, modern and traditional Spanish flair. We chose this spectacular resort because of its gorgeous scenery, decadent (all-inclusive) amenities, and terrific vibe. Come prepared to cut-loose, relax and party with your industry colleagues and friends at Kenwood! It's gonna be a terrific ride and we look forward to seeing you there!

Boy, what a year! A financial crisis, car companies in bankruptcy, major chain retailers going out of business, the swine flu (H1N1) changing the destination of the 2009 incentive trip — after a year like that, Kenwood still holds strong in rewarding their top dealers. It was a great year to join Kenwood to "Seize the Beach" in the Dominican Republic at the Paradisus Palma Real Resort to unwind.
The beautiful resort with its gorgeous pools, refreshing ocean waters, delicious selections at their many restaurants and astonishing service helped reunite the Kenwood family for a fantastic getaway.
Continue reading below for more information on the Paradisus Palma Real Resort in the Dominican Republic.
The Dominican Republic covers the eastern two-thirds of the Caribbean island of Hispaniola. The capital city is Santo Domingo, located on the south coast of the island. Tourist facilities vary according to price and location. Spanish is the official language. Though English is widely spoken in major cities and tourist areas, it is much less common outside these areas.
Only 20 minutes from the Punta Cana International Airport, the Paradisus Palma Real Resort is conveniently located. The resort is surrounded by lush gardens and a spectacular view of the white-powdered beach that will make you want to come back year after year. The Paradisus has three pools (one of which is 37,000 square feet), a large white-sand beach looking out to the Caribbean, six restaurants and eight bars, and much more. The Paradisus is a member of The Leading Hotels of the World, an elite collection of properties that are known for luxury accommodations and exotic locations.

Kenwood heads back to the Caribbean in 2008! It felt like the first cruise ended too quickly that Kenwood decided to continue the fun with Carnival on their largest ship (at the time) — The Valor.
Kenwood's "Schmooze & Cruise II," 2008 was set for the Eastern Caribbean and proved once again to be a wonderful experience for all dealers that attended. This trip was another chance for Kenwood dealers to join their friends and decompress after all their hard work.
The Eastern Caribbean cruise on Carnival’s Valor was another 8-day / 7-night trip of complete fun and relaxation. There is no other place on earth to be than with your Kenwood friends. And, of course, the beautiful Caribbean Sea didn’t hurt. Read below for more information on some of the destinations that all were able to experience.
NASSAU, BAHAMAS
What makes Nassau so special? Picture an idyllic place with stretches of perfect white-sand beaches,
gracefully swaying coconut palms offering oases of shade, and warm, crystal-clear waters revealing the
secrets of incredible multi-colored marine life. Whether you spend the day shopping for duty-free gifts
and mementos, taking a carriage ride past sorbet-colored buildings, or touring in a glass-bottom boat,
chances are you'll leave this happy place in the Bahamas with lots of beautiful memories.
ST. THOMAS, USVI
Not all of St. Thomas' treasures are buried. Most of them are right in the open on this gorgeous
island, home of the infamous Bluebeard's Tower. Whether looking for jewels, crystal, perfume and fine
wines in the shops of Charlotte Amalie, or soaking up the sun on the incredible beaches, you'll marvel
at the wealth of history on this treasure-filled paradise.
ST. MAARTEN, NA
Where else can you experience the food, style and hospitality of two separate countries in an exotic
West Indian setting? St. Maarten is divided between French St. Martin in the north and Dutch St. Maarten
in the south. Both sides of this 37-square-mile island offer beautiful ocean vistas, gourmet cuisines,
first-rate water sports and beaches, and some of the best duty-free shopping in the world.

In October 2007 Kenwood welcomed their qualifying dealers on their all-inclusive Western Caribbean Cruise. This cruise is better known to those that attended as the "Kenwood Schmooze & Cruise." With a daily view of the majestic Caribbean Sea, eye-catching destinations and friends to share it with, Kenwood is always happy to welcome more to their Family Reunion.
Kenwood’s Schmooze & Cruise was on the Carnival Legend and was an 8-day / 7-night escape to paradise. Many enjoyed the decadent cuisine while others were found lounging around the pool working on their tan. This is more than just an incentive trip—It’s a vacation for every qualified dealer and they deserved every second of it. Read below for more information on some of the destinations that all were able to experience.
Kenwood thanks all their dealers and hopes to see new faces on the next incentive trip.
GRAND CAYMAN, CAYMAN ISLANDS
Grand Cayman, kissed by sparkling, turquoise waters, is a dream come true for water sports
enthusiasts. You can snorkel with stingrays, go scuba diving, sail a catamaran, take in some sport
fishing, or just mellow out along the powder-soft sand of the magnificent Seven Mile Beach. While
you're there, don't forget to visit Hell, which is devilishly popular with senders of postcards.
COZUMEL, MEXICO
Long before Cancun became a popular destination, Cozumel was well-known as a diving spot and home
to the world famous Palancar Reef, which gives divers the opportunity to view thousands of brilliantly
colored fish.
BELIZE
This tropical paradise promises adventure, both onshore and off. Crystalline rivers flow through
impressive lowland jungles, home to a myriad of rare wildlife. Silky sand beaches, waving palms
and colorful coral gardens are just part of Belize's natural wonders. Whether mountain biking through
a lush rainforest or snorkeling with sharks, you'll experience things you've only imagined.
ROATAN ISLAND, HONDURAS
This unspoiled island located almost 40 miles off the north coast of Honduras is part of the Bay
Islands, which also include Guanaja and Utila. With a warm climate of around 80 degrees, you can
lounge on the island's white sandy beaches or snorkel in crystal blue waters. You may spot some of
the wildlife indigenous to the island, such as the Red Lored Parrot, the Lala Monkey or the
Jesus Lizard, so named for its ability to "walk on water."

Just three miles off the coast of southern Italy's mainland is the port town of Messina on the island of Sicily. This bustling town has a complex history with roots in Greek mythology, but because of an earthquake in the early 1900s, it's a relatively young city architecturally.
Piraeus is the main port of Athens, the biggest in Greece, and one of the most important in the Mediterranean Sea. Piraeus is walking distance from Kastella, a hill strewn with beautiful houses, that offers a majestic view of the Saronic Gulf.
Chaniá is the second largest city of Crete, and one of the most beautiful. It lies along the north coast of the island at the east end of the Gulf of Chaniá.
